The weekend saw the Mchugh Stakes trophy head to the high country for an epic 6 stage MTB race through the snowy mountains. This was the first MTB event either had raced and the both didn't just race it they Thrived. Scott took the Mchugh honours and 5 th in his A/G but Wendy was hot on his heels with 3rd place in A/G and 1st in stage 2 overall female. Now they have been on the Dirt side I wonder if they can come back to the bitcumen. We also had 2 athletes head to the Riverside Tri at Swan Hill using it as a last hit out before Geelong 70.3. Its great to see the team supporting local country races.
Also a massive shout out to Bec Cladingboel as she took out the award for Riverina Sports Star for April. Bec had a huge 12 month with some epic results. Including 1st female overall at Buffalo Stampede 75 km Ultra marathon. This also gave her the title of Australasian Sky runner champion female which she is hoping to head to Europe to fight out the Skyrunner world champs in July. Not only is Bek a super athlete she is just another one of our #supermum achieving greatness. If you don't think you have enough time in the day to Thrive think again.
